Hocking College is constantly looking for opportunities for its students to gain real-world experience before entering the job market. Recently, the college partnered with OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital to offer fourth semester Registered Nursing Students (RN4) a clinical immersion.
This immersion experience will be a hands-on opportunity allowing nursing students to put the knowledge they have learned in the classroom and the college's high fidelity simulation lab, into real-world situations at O'Bleness Hospital. Students will be responsible for patient care in controlled scenarios and perform nursing procedures while supervised by registered nurses. Students will also have the opportunity to rotate through different floors of the hospital to discover which area interests them the most.
From this experience, students will gain leadership skills, begin building a professional network and strengthen their clinical judgment.
