What is the Shout It Out Scholarship?  

To apply for the Shout It Out Scholarship, applicants must submit a short original, previously unpublished response to the following topic: If you could say one thing to the entire world at once, what would it be and why?

The mini-essay must be written in English, with correct spelling and grammar, and not exceed 250 words. No substitutions of new drafts or corrected pages will be accepted once applicants have submitted their original application. 

Written responses that are obscene, pornographic, libelous or otherwise objectionable will be disqualified. 

Who is sponsoring this scholarship?

Unigo.com sponsors the Scholarship Program. Unigo.com provides students with college reviews, college stats and helps to match them with scholarships. 

How do I enter? 

To apply for the Shout It Out Scholarship, applicants must submit a complete scholarship Application online at the sponsor's website no later than September 30, 2020, at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. 

Applications must include their name and contact information, background details and academic details.

How much money does this award provide?

According to Unigo.com, the "loudest" applicant to apply for the Shout It Out Scholarship will receive $1,500.

What are the eligibility requirements?

  • Applicants must be at least 13 years old at the time of application.
  • Applicants must be legal residents of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2026) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education.
  • Current employees, officers, directors and agents of Unigo.com and its related companies and members of their immediate families (defined as spouse, parents, siblings and children) and persons residing at the same address are not eligible to win.

When will the winner be announced?

The lucky student who wins the Shout It Out Scholarship will be notified by email or phone on or around December 30, 2020.
