Have you ever considered what it would be like to wake up one morning and discover that you had no water to brush your teeth, take a shower, or even make a pot of coffee?
This is the very scenario that the Imagine a Day Without Water (IDWW) campaign is asking everyone to consider on tomorrow, October 10.
The purpose of Imagine a Day Without Water is to encourage the general public and public officials to recognize the essential role water plays in our daily lives.
Another goal is to raise awareness regarding the future of sustainable water by encouraging environmental organizations, community-based organizations, schools and engineers to promote water appreciation.
In addition, it's an opportunity for water and wastewater employees to showcase the vital part they play in providing, and recycling, water in their respective communities.
The following are some suggestions for how you can participate in this campaign.
