Hocking College Women’s Basketball Team was overpowered by Lakeland Community College, 100-32, at home on Saturday, February 2. The Lady Hawks began the game tied at 10-10 until the Lakers followed with a 28-point run.
The Hawks were led by freshman forward Shannon Moore who finished the game with 14 of Hocking’s 32 points. Sophomore guard Shanyce Cabrales also scored in double digits for the Hawks with 10 points, six in the first quarter.
Lakeland’s Destiny Khay led the way for the Lakers with a game-high of 23 points, which included seven three-point shots. The Lakers ended with six players scoring in double digits, including all five starters.
The next home game for the Women's Basketball Team will be on Wednesday, February 6 in the Student Center against Edison State Community College.
