Beat the Heat Family Film Series

The Athena Cinema’s “Beat the Heat $2 Days” film series is a undraiser for Southeast Ohio Youth Mentoring (formerly Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Athens). This edition of this series will feature a screening of the cult comedy “Napoleon Dynamite.”

Boogie in the Bricks in a one-day family friendly community arts and music festival that is admission-free and open to the public. The festival boasts two stages with live music from local musicians, beer, wine, cider, food vendors and a Kid Zone with a bounce houses and face-painting.

The Parade of The Hills is one of Ohio’s premiere family festivals. Some of the activities include parades, regional art exhibitions, concessions, a midway, carnival, The Ohio State Fiddling Contest, and free nightly entertainment.

Born in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains, springing to life with all the zest and zeal you’d expect from a 1940s-style Tennessee bluegrass band, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys have rambled far from home, touring throughout the United States and Europe.
Yet, these four friends – C.J. Lewandowski (Vocals, Mandolin), Jereme Brown (Vocals, Banjo), Josh ‘Jug’ Rinkel (Vocals, Guitar) and Jasper Lorentzen (Bass) – remain close to their musical roots by cranking out some of the tightest and hardest-driving traditional bluegrass you’ll find anywhere.

Wands & Wizards Weekend

Columbus Food Truck Festival

This Columbus riverfront event invites visitors to sample delicious food from more than 70 Ohio food trucks. In addition to the food, there is plenty of live music and arts and crafts for all ages.
Columbus Greek Festival

Short North in Columbus OH
The goal of this event is to encourage visitors to experience the culture and ancestry of Greece and the Orthodox Christian faith through many foods and activities, held Labor Day weekend each year. Also featured are cathedral tours and a visit to the Orthodox Christian Bookstore, music, dancing and a chance to sample Greek pastries.
This 2-mile lazy river float lasts 3-5 hours depending on water levels. If you don’t have a tube they’ll be available on a first come first serve basis. There will alsobe food, beverage, games, and entertainment. Camping will be available at Murray's Landing or nearby facilities. The price of admission and tube rental are as follows:

Belpre Homecoming

Belpre Civitan Park in Belpre OH
The 2019 Belpre Homecoming will feature rides, vendors, pageants and free entertainment that includes a performance by the band McGuffey Lane on Thursday evening and STRUTTER, a KISS Tribute Band, on Friday. This will be followed on Saturday evening with a performance by STALLION as well as a laser light show.
