NELSONVILLE, OHIO—If you want to continue playing volleyball after high school or always wanted to give it a try, you’re next chance to join the Hocking College Women’s Volleyball team is coming up soon.
However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, tryouts for the 2020-2021 season will be virtual.
Individuals who want to try-out for the team will need to fill out an online form and provide the following information:
- Name, phone number and email address
- High school name
- High school coach’s name
- High school graduation year
- Your height
- Position you play
- If you have club volleyball experience
- Why you want to play volleyball for Hocking College
- If you plan to attend a four-year school after graduating from Hocking College
Candidates will also need to provide a video highlight reel. That video can be either provided via a link or uploaded as an.mp4 file as part of the application process.
Completed applications must be submitted by June 1.
Entering its fifth season, the Hocking College Women’s Volleyball team will be under the direction of first-year Head Coach Jason Jones.
Jones began coaching 20 years ago and has coached at the high school, collegiate and club levels, including in the USA Volleyball High Performance program.
The Hawks participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III as members of the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
