Do you enjoy organizing, overseeing, and orchestrating outdoor projects? Or perhaps you enjoy building your own furniture from wood and other materials? If so, then you might have the right tools to pursue an Associate of Technical Study in Construction Management: Carpentry at Hocking College.

Students interested in pursuing this degree program should be aware that a huge part of their success in this industry will depend on their ability to
secure an apprenticeship.

In January 2018, Hocking College entered into a partnership with the Ohio Carpenters' Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program to begin offering a pre-apprenticeship program. This partnership will incorporate Hocking College’s existing Carpentry Program with the Apprenticeship’s training cycle.

Students who take advantage of this partnership between the College and the Apprenticeship Program will receive the following opportunities:

  • Job placement assistance
  • Pathways to joining a union
  • Networking opportunities
