Hocking College Archery traveled to Madisonville, Kentucky over the weekend to compete in the USCA Indoor Regionals. After a long weeked of competition and anticipation Caitlin Hartman, Justin Hecker, Rebekah Matthews, and Hunter Saylors qualified to advance to the USCA National Championships.
Caitlin Hartman will move on in the Basic Bow Hunter Division as she qualified for the USCA National Championships after shooting a 159 in round 1, 165 in round 2, 108 in round 3, and a 117 in round 4 giving her a combined score of 549 and placing her 5th overall.
Justin Hecker also qualified for the USCA National Championships in Men's Bow Hunter Division after shooting a 291 in round 1, followed by a 288 in round 2, a 286 in round 3, and a 290 in round 4 to capture the 8 place in regional shooting and move on the the National Championships.
In the Women's Compound Bow Division Rebekah Matthews shot a 280 in round 1, 282 in round 2, 279 in round 3 and a 283 in round 4 to also capture 8th place in her division and move on to the National Championships.
Hunter Saylors also qualified for the USCA National Championships in the Men's Compound Bow Division after shooting a 285 in round 1, 286 in round 2, 291 in round 3, and 283 in round 4 for a combined score of 1145 and 7th place.
Other shooters for Hocking College on the weekend were Sean Cook (24th place finisher in the Men's Bowhunter Division), Taylor Foster (12th place finisher in the Women's Recurve Division), David Maiani (32nd place finisher in the Men's Bowhunter Division), and Hunter White (16th place finisher in the Men's Compound Bow Division).
The team of Hartman, Hecker, Matthews, and Saylors will travel to compete at the USCA Indoor National Championships in Las Vegas, NV from February 10th to the 12th.
