Hocking College currently has two individual 2+2 articulation agreements with both the University of Cincinnati and Ohio University's Criminal Justice programs. But what exactly is this agreement and how does it benefit you? Continue reading on to find out.

What is a 2+2 Articulation Agreement?

Technically, a 2+2 articulation agreement involves a 2-year school forming a mutually beneficial partnership with a 4-year institution. Primarily these relationships provide associate degree holders with opportunities to earn their bachelor’s degree at a 4-year school.

How Will This Agreement Benefit Hocking College Students?

Under the terms of this partnership, students who graduate from Hocking College’s Criminal Justice program with a focus in corrections will be able to take online classes that will result in them obtaining their bachelor’s degree from either the University of Cincinnati or Ohio University.

What Are Some Additional Benefits of a 2+2 Articulation Agreement?

Some of the additional benefits of a 2+2 articulation agreement for Hocking College students include:

Saving money by first attending a community college before transferring to a 4-year school.
Students won’t need to seek out, or apply to, a variety of other 4-year schools to further their education.
Students won’t be required to relocate to another city or state to pursue their bachelor’s degree.
Each student’s degree path will be clearly defined for them.
Hocking College, University of Cincinnati and Ohio University will all work together to make sure each student’s credits are transferable.
Non-traditional students at Hocking College will have a more flexible route towards obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
