Hocking College’s new Dental Hygiene Program, which is located at the Perry Campus in New Lexington, OH, offers students the required training in general education, biomedical sciences, dental sciences, and dental hygiene sciences they’ll need to successfully enter this booming profession.
Students who enroll in Hocking College’s Dental Hygiene Program will reap several benefits. First, the program is the only one of its kind in Southeast Ohio and is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
Courtesy of Hocking College’s partnership with Hopewell Health Center, Inc. in New Lexington (OH), students will be able to fulfill their clinical rotation duties at the state-of-the-art Dental Hygiene Clinic which offers dual computer monitors in each operatory, integrated ultrasonic scalers, and digital radiography. Students will also be working with the latest software and digital-based equipment in the dental industry.
Students will gain a solid background in biomedical sciences, dental services and oral hygiene sciences, as well as the hands-on experience they need to be successful in this thriving industry.
Students who successfully complete this program will also be eligible to take their national and regional board exams, and their state law exams in order to become a registered dental hygienist.
