On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, the Hocking Makers Network will be hosting a meetup from 5:30PM until 7:30PM at the Hocking Makers Network Wood Lab located at 17690 Sylvania Avenue in Nelsonville, OH.
The Hocking Makers Network seeks to give the people of Appalachia Ohio a network of Makerspaces and Makers that encourages them to obtain new skills, discover hidden talents or cultivate new hobbies.
These benchmarks are accomplished through the mediums of approachable, affordable classes and workshop membership opportunities that encourages participants to pursue their interests outside of the classroom.
According to Hocking College’s Americorps VISTA, Quinten Spires, the purpose for this meetup is to map out the goals for the Hocking Maker's Network's the upcoming year, take suggestions for future classes and encourage people to both volunteer and teach classes.
In addition, a free shuttle will be available to transport participants to the meetup. However, since seating will be limited anyone interested needs to RSVP online.
