While many professions in the health care industry have a multitude of advantages, perhaps none can compare to being a Registered Nurse. In addition to being extremely lucrative, both positions have a rich and esteemed history of service to others. The following examples illustrate how both career paths can benefit the title holder:

What Are The Benefits of Becoming a Registered Nurse?

  • Job security. Job growth rates indicate that by 2024, there will be over 3.1 million RN positions waiting to be filled. This data means becoming a RN has long-term job security.
  • Good pay. Currently RNs make a median pay of $67,497.
  • The benefits. RNs get many benefits such as paid holidays, as well as an excellent benefits package for full-time RNs.
  • Flexibility. RNs have job flexibility and several shift options to choose from.
  • Can specialize in specific fields. RNs have the option to specialize in specific fields such as pediatrics.
  • More responsibility. RNs are expected to perform more supervisory responsibilities.
  • Flexible work environmentsRNs not only have the option to relocate, but they can also choose from a variety of job sites including doctor’s offices, hospitals, and nursing homes.
