Hocking College Women’s Basketball Fall To Sinclair Community College

Hocking College Women’s Basketball Team (1-10) fell to Sinclair Community College (12-3), 104-37 on Wednesday, January 16.

Hocking College led the first few minutes before Sinclair sped off to a 54-19 halftime lead. The Tartan Pride was led by Amanda Schroeder who scored a game-high of 29 points on 13-of-27 (48%) shooting, and had 13 rebounds, a steal, and a block. Sinclair was 47-of-95 (48.5%) from the field, and seven of nine from the free throw line.

Hocking College was led by sophomore guard, Shanyce Cabrales, who scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers and had six rebounds, an assist, and two blocks. Sophomore guard, Shalyn Johnson, and sophomore forward, Shianne Nameth, each added nine points.

The Hawks will return to the court on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. tipoff* at home against Ohio's Bryant and Stratton Community College.
