Lady Hawks End Season With Loss To Bryant & Stratton (OH)

The Hocking College Women’s Basketball Team fell to Bryant & Stratton (OH) (4-17), 79-43, on Saturday, February 23.

The Hawks and the Bobcats were tied at four early in the game before Bryant & Stratton extended their lead to 28 at 37-9, on a 33-5 run with 6:07 left in the second quarter. At halftime, the Bobcats led 49-16.

Hocking College was led by sophomore Shannon Moore who scored a team-high of 17 points and added 16 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Sophomore Shalyn Johnson added seven points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Bryant & Stratton was led by freshman Morgan Cobbs who had a game-high of 19 points on 8-of-21 shooting (38.1 %), and added five rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Rachelle White added 18 points and a game-high of 16 rebounds with five assists. Jalencia Benz added 14 points and Aliyah Mullins added 14 rebounds.

The Lady Hawks finished their season in ninth place with a 1-19 record and 0-14 in the OCCAC.
