Elizabeth Howard will graduate in May 2022 from Hocking College with an Associate's Degree in Accounting and Financial Services. She is the first generation of her family to ever attend college and the first to earn a degree.

All month long, the American Dental Association (ADA) promotes the benefits of good oral hygiene. Starting children on a dental hygiene routine as early as two years old is crucial for creating a life-long habit. Cavities are the most common disease among children. The ADA states that "45% of American children between the ages of 2 and 19 experience tooth decay in their primary or permanent teeth."

At Hocking, students are automatically enrolled in many different scholarships when they apply to the college. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Currently, there are around 50 scholarships available.

On Saturday, January 15, 2022, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Hocking Hills State Park hosted 2,485 hikers for the 56th Annual Winter Hike. The 6-mile hike follows the trail from Old Man's Cave to Ash Cave, the perfect backdrop to showcase the beauty of winter in our region.
