Performing Arts Program Anticipates Upcoming Year
So far this summer, Hocking College has awarded more than $10,000 in Performing Arts Scholarships for singers and musicians. "I'm not finished yet!," Emily Davis, Communications and Theatre Program Manager and head of performing arts, declared.
Hocking College's Director and Accompanist for the Hocking College Singers, Devin Sudman, directed a production of the musical "Ordinary Days."
Join the world-wide celebration of the stage Saturday, March 27 as we mark World Theatre Day.
For many, 2020 is a year of firsts: from the first time experiencing a major pandemic to the first time experiencing a statewide lockdown. But for many students, it’s also the first time they will take an online course.
Not many people start their journey in theatre by sweeping, but for me, sweeping up the tiny black box theatre in the little town of Urbana in Ohio’s Champaign County was something that inspired a life-long love of the arts.
Emily Davis is the Program Manager for Hocking College's new Theatre Program.
