Hocking College Changes Pathways into Rewarding Nursing Career
by Tim Brunicardi
Hocking College now offers a new pathway to a rewarding and in-demand career in nursing! The State Tested Nursing Aide (STNA), also known as a CNA, provides basic care and helps patients with activities of daily living. Employment in this field is projected to increase 8% in the next 10 years. Becoming an STNA is an excellent introduction to healthcare and can be the first step to becoming a Registered Nurse.
There’s still time to register for the next cohort! This three-week program begins on:
- Feb. 15, 2021
- Mar. 15, 2021
- Apr. 12, 2021
For more information on our STNA program, please visit

Hocking College is not currently accepting applications for the Practical Nursing program as the program voluntarily withdrew from ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) on Sep. 1, 2020.
