If you, your parents and grandparents all grew up wearing hand-me-down clothes, were constantly moving from place-to-place, only went to the dentist when it was absolutely necessary and know what it’s like to not get any gifts for Christmas then you’ve probably experienced generational poverty.
Welcome back from Hocking College’s extended Spring Break. Courses resume online, Monday, March 23, 2020. Our #1 goal is to protect your health and safety and #2 keep you on track to complete your educational goals as you prepare for life beyond this health emergency.
We are continuing to monitor the coronavirus situation very closely. We will continue to keep you informed and notify you immediately as we receive information. At this time, we are aware of no cases in SE Ohio and we want to exercise precautions to keep it that way. Therefore, we are moving more employees remotely.

Thanks to the America Reads program, Hocking College early childhood education students now have the opportunity to put their budding teaching skills into action.
The statement below is in regards to The Spring 2020 Semester:We know this is a very disruptive time for everyone. We ask that you continue to remain flexible and we will continue to provide information as we chart our way through these unprecedented times. Hocking College continues to be dedicated to promoting the health, safety and well-being of our student, employee, and community populations while minimizing any disruption to the academic progression of our students. The remainder of Spring semester has been divided into two parts.
Students will receive instructions and resources via Hocking College email later this week on how to complete their courses beginning March 23, 2020. This information will also be posted at www.hocking.edu. For students that do not have other housing accommodations, their dorm room will continue to be available to them.
