March 20, 2022, was "Global Massage Makes Me Happy Day." The Hocking College Massage Therapy Program is an Ambassador School for this event. To celebrate, the college dedicated the week of March 20 through March 26 to educate people in the community about the health benefits of massage and the career options available for massage therapists.

You probably wouldn't think about a person with Down Syndrome playing football, scoring points for their team, and in the process, making history. But that is exactly what Hocking College football player, Caden Cox did.

Dr. Tamara Moyer has been accepted as a Peer Evaluator for the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). This opportunity will allow her to contribute to the quality of nursing education and observe practices in other nursing programs that will benefit the Hocking College Nursing Program.
After a tough loss in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) semi-final game, the Hawks have ended their 2021-2022 basketball season with a record of 24-2. For the first time in Hocking College history, the men's basketball team won the OCCAC Championship. They are co-champions with Lakeland Community College, as both teams were 11-1 in the conference. Even with the playoff loss, the team has a lot to be proud of. Their hard work and dedication showed every day on the court, but even more so off the court.
Hocking College will debut a new Environmental Science program starting in the fall of 2022 with the help of program manager Dr. Lucia Grossman.
National FFA Week is from February 19 - February 26, 2022, and is a week-long celebration to promote what FFA is and how the organization helps its members.
Hannah Guada joins Hocking College as the new Vice President of Student Affairs and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Hannah’s journey in higher education began in New York City in the aftermath of 9/11. One week after the attack, she started at Nyack College Manhattan Center (NCMC) in lower Manhattan.
Elizabeth Howard will graduate in May 2022 from Hocking College with an Associate's Degree in Accounting and Financial Services. She is the first generation of her family to ever attend college and the first to earn a degree.
