Matthews and Saylors Bring Home Gold and USCA Indoor National Championships

Las Vegas, NV -- Hocking College had a strong showing on the first day of the United States Collegiate Archery (USCA) Indoor National Championships as the Compound Team of Rebekah Matthews and Hunter Saylors topped the podium. 

Matthews and Saylors were sensational en route to Hocking College's first ever National Championship. They entered the elimination round as the third seeded team and were matched up against the second seeded Compound Team from the University of the Cumberlands. Matthews and Saylors knocked off the Patriots' squad and advanced to take on the top seeded Bulldogs of Union College.

Hawks Qualify Four Shooters for USCA Indoor Nationals

Hocking College Archery traveled to Madisonville, Kentucky over the weekend to compete in the USCA Indoor Regionals. After a long weeked of competition and anticipation Caitlin Hartman, Justin Hecker, Rebekah Matthews, and Hunter Saylors qualified to advance to the USCA National Championships.

Hocking College traveled to Springfield on Saturday to take on the Eagles of Clark State Community College. Despite a valiant effort in the second half the Hawks fell 61-58 to the Eagles.

The Hawks traveled to Springfield on Saturday to take on the Eagles of Clark State Community College and locked the Eagles down to come away with a 68-51 road win. 

"We got a great defensive effort today from our guys" said Coach Matt Williamson. "Anytime we can hold an opponent under 20 points in the first half we set the tone." 

Sinclair Knocks Off Hocking

The Lady Hawks traveled to Dayton on Wednesday night for an OCCAC match up against the Tartan Pride of Sinclair Community College. Sinclair came into the game looking to get back on track after falling to Cuyahoga Community College on Saturday. The Tartan Pride came out in a man-to-man full court pressure that jumped started their offense as Sinclair defeated the Hawks 71-29. 

Tartan Pride Claims Victory Over Hawks

Hocking College Men's Basketball traveled to Sinclair Community College on Wednesday night to take on the Tartan Pride in an OCCAC battle. The Tartan Pride came into the game ranked 19th in the nation in NJCAA Division II play. Sinclair would continue their winning ways as they knocked off Hocking College, 109-69.
