Ohio's ASPIRE program provides free services for individuals who need assistance acquiring the skills to be successful in post-secondary education, training and employment. Local programs offer classes at flexible locations and times to meet the diverse needs of adult learners. All students are required to attend orientation, where an assessment is given to help determine the individual’s educational plan and goals.
In order to make the Hocking College Dean’s List, students need to be in good academic standing and achieve a term GPA of 3.5 or higher, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
August is National Back-to-School Month, which means many students will be saying goodbye to summer and hello to dorm life, whether it be for the first time as a freshman or as a returning student.

Born and raised in Albany, OH., Dr. McClain attended Alexander High School. Then she studied at Ohio University where she earned a bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in sociology. She later received a master of education in special education, followed by a doctor of philosophy in curriculum and instruction in 2021.
