By the age of eight, Maureen “Moe” Michels knew exactly what she wanted to do when she grew up... own her own restaurant.
A native of Painesville, Ohio, Michels passion for cooking was inspired by her mother who was a Home Economics teacher and the fact that she came from a very large family. Her family was so big that a typical Thanksgiving Day dinner at her home required place settings for up to 60 guests.
The job search website Glassdoor recently released a list of the 50 Best Jobs in America for 2019. From that list, three Allied Health-related careers that were included require degrees that can be earned at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio.

On Saturday, August 3, 2019, Hocking College held its 2019 Summer Commencement ceremony at the Hocking College Student Center in Nelsonville, Ohio.
Looking for a study buddy? This year, all Hocking College students will have access to free online tutoring, courtesy of a partnership with the Ohio eTutoring Collaborative.
Traditionally, going to college meant students would pay one price for their tuition, and then a bunch of other fees for their books, course materials, equipment and everything else they'd need for their classes.
Beginning in Fall 2019, Hocking College will launch its eSports team. The sport will involve competitive, team-based video gaming, as well as tournaments and intercollegiate play which will be done through the National Association of Collegiate eSports (NACE) and TESPA.
