Hocking Hawks Men's Basketball Players Among OCCAC Top 20 Leading Scorers

Freshman guard, Azende Johnson, and sophomore guards, Jose Deleon and Jarrell Giles, are all among the Top 20 leading scorers in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) at the winter break. Johnson is third in the conference scoring 22.8 points per game, Deleon is 11th scoring 14.7 points per game, and Giles ranks 18th with a scoring average of 13.2 points per game.

Two Lady Hawks Among Conference Leaders

Two women from the Hocking College Women's Basketball Team are among the Top 10 statistical leaders in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC). Freshman guard, Madeline Almond, ranks fourth in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game. Sophomore guard, Shanyce Cabrales, is ninth in scoring with an average of 15.4 points per game.

Men’s Basketball Fast Second-Half Start Leads Hocking Hawks Over Appalachian Bible College

NelsonvilleOhio – The Hocking College men’s basketball team (4-9) achieved a non-conference win on Tuesday night over Appalachian Bible College behind a 42-29 advantage in the second half leading to a 79-60 victory. This was the Hawks’ second consecutive victory. Appalachian Bible College falls to (1-4) behind Jacob Tincher who scored a game high 22 points.

Hocking Hawks Women's Basketball Soar to Victory Behind 10 First-Half Three Pointers

Nelsonville, Ohio -- Hocking College women’s basketball team (1-7) used the three-point ball to shoot themselves past Appalachian Bible College (0-2) on Tuesday night (December 11), 83-50.  The Hawks soared to a 46-15 halftime advantage. The home court victory was the first for interim coach Sterry Etheridge at Hocking College.

Hocking College Women's Basketball Team Falls to Lorain County Community College

Hocking College Women’s Basketball Team fell 74-63 on Sunday, Dec. 9 to Lorain County Community College. The Hawks fall to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC). The Hawks had two players in double figures with freshmen Madeline Almond and Shanyce Cabrales.
