Hocking Continues Best Start In Program History With Road Win
Lancaster, OH -- The Hocking College men’s basketball team (8-2) traveled up state route 33 to battle Ohio University-Lancaster (3-5) and came away with an impressive 103-83 road win on Wednesday evening, December 4.
Nelsonville, OH -- The Hocking College Hawks’ men’s basketball team has displayed considerable offensive firepower as the Hawks rank #1 in NJCAA Division III in points per game at 105.7. The Hawks also rank 1st in Division III in field goals made per game with 42.7, and 4th in field goal percentage at 52.7%. Hocking ranks #3 in the nation in offensive rebounds, grabbing 20.2 per game, which leads to an abundance of second chance points. This offensive outburst has resulted in a 5-1 record through six games.
Nelsonville, Ohio -- The Hocking College men’s basketball team (5-1) responded quickly after suffering its first loss two nights earlier at the hands of Cincinnati-Clermont, as they raced past the Malone JV Pioneers, 112-68, at home last Saturday, November 16.

The Hocking College Hawks’ men’s basketball team had a successful day at the Spartan Juco Jamboree in Elgin, IL, on Saturday, Oct. 12, putting together three wins in three games at the event that played host to 30 teams. Hocking defeated Lake County by 7, Truman by 18, and Elgin by 25.
Hocking Hawks' basketball player, Azende Johnson, has officially been named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Third Team All-American. This is in addition to his many lists of achievements which includes the following:
The Hocking College Hawks Men's Basketball Team is looking forward to another exciting season with a roster full of fresh faces. With recruiting in full swing, 14 players have now committed to Hocking College for the 2019-2020 season and more are expected to sign in the coming months.
The 2018-19 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) men’s and women’s basketball awards were recently announced. Freshman guard, Azende Johnson, and sophomore point guard, Jarell Giles, were both honored as members of the All-District, Division-III First Team.
