Edison State Community College (18-4), ranked 19th in NJCAA, D-II, came out hot with a 30-point lead, 42-12, over Hocking College (1-14) before halftime. They opened the second quarter on a 14-1 run over them in a five-minute span. The final score was 88-26.

Hocking College Women’s Basketball Team was overpowered by Lakeland Community College, 100-32, at home on Saturday, February 2. The Lady Hawks began the game tied at 10-10 until the Lakers followed with a 28-point run.

Two Lady Hawks Among Conference Leaders

Two women from the Hocking College Women's Basketball Team are among the Top 10 statistical leaders in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC). Freshman guard, Madeline Almond, ranks fourth in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game. Sophomore guard, Shanyce Cabrales, is ninth in scoring with an average of 15.4 points per game.

Hocking Hawks Women's Basketball Soar to Victory Behind 10 First-Half Three Pointers

Nelsonville, Ohio -- Hocking College women’s basketball team (1-7) used the three-point ball to shoot themselves past Appalachian Bible College (0-2) on Tuesday night (December 11), 83-50.  The Hawks soared to a 46-15 halftime advantage. The home court victory was the first for interim coach Sterry Etheridge at Hocking College.

Hocking College Women’s Basketball Team fell 74-63 on Sunday, Dec. 9 to Lorain County Community College. The Hawks fall to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC). The Hawks had two players in double figures with freshmen Madeline Almond and Shanyce Cabrales.

2018 Women's Basketball Season Update

The Hocking College Women’s Basketball team has started the 2018-19 season with a 0-4 record but has been very competitive. Thus far the team has played Potomac State, Patrick Henry, Erie Community College and Lakeland Community College. The Lady Hawks lost close decisions to Patrick Henry (52-49) and Erie CC (58-52)

Lady Hawks Fall in Region XII Championship

CIRCLEVILLE, OH -- Hocking College traveled to Ohio Christian University on Tuesday night to take on the Cougars of Columbus State in the NJCAA Region XII Championship. 

The Hawks came out strong and took an early 6-2 lead over the Cougars but Columbus State quickly regained control of the game and would close out the first quarter with a 23-13 lead.
