Hocking College Hawks Basketball Team member Azende Johnson was recently named National Junior College Athletic Association Division-III Player of the Week for Nov. 5-11.
DICKINSON, TX--- Hocking College head men's basketball coach, Matt Williamson, is excited to announce the signing of the three newest members of the Hocking College Men's Basketball Program from the Houston area stand out program at Dickinson High School.
The Hawks traveled to Springfield on Saturday to take on the Eagles of Clark State Community College and locked the Eagles down to come away with a 68-51 road win.
"We got a great defensive effort today from our guys" said Coach Matt Williamson. "Anytime we can hold an opponent under 20 points in the first half we set the tone."
Hocking College Men's Basketball traveled to Sinclair Community College on Wednesday night to take on the Tartan Pride in an OCCAC battle. The Tartan Pride came into the game ranked 19th in the nation in NJCAA Division II play. Sinclair would continue their winning ways as they knocked off Hocking College, 109-69.
Hocking College took on Lorain County Community College on Saturday at home and fell to the Commodores 128-93.
Hocking College traveled to Cincinnati on Wednesday to take on the Surge of Cincinnati State Community College. The Hawks came up short losing to Cincinnati State 105-62.
Hocking College fell short Saturday in a loss to the Edison State Community College Chargers at home, after staging a valiant comeback to no avail. The loss brings the Hawks' record to 7-10 as we pass the half way point in the season and OCCAC action heats up.
